Shroom Chai – Organic 120g

Introducing Australia’s take on MUD/WTR, (a chai + functional mushrooms coffee alternative). ,

With an earthy, spicy and slightly creamy taste and texture, this chai/cacao latte is unsweetened but for a hint of liquorice, so as to mimic the pleasant bitterness of coffee. (Feel free to add your own sweetener and/or plant milk to make a creamy, warming latte).

But you don’t need to be trying to kick coffee to enjoy this chai powder blend, just a lover of cacao and spice and all things nice, (and nutritious, like medicinal mushrooms)!

My Shroom-Chai includes a decent dose (20%) of my organic 8-shrooms medicinal mushroom blend, which includes organic lion’s mane, cordyceps and tremella, from 100% fruiting bodies (no grain or mycelium present).

Enjoy as an earthy instant tea, warm in a pan with milk and honey to make a chai latte, or even include black tea leaves (and strain) to mimic a traditional caffeinated chai.

Directions: 

Chai Tea: Add one tablespoon of powder into 250ml of hot water and stir well. Sweetener optional. Top with a generous dash of your favourite milk.

Chai Latte: Add 1.5 cup mylk to a small saucepan plus 1 heaped tablespoon Shroom-Chai powder. Add honey or other sweetener as desired. For a black tea chai include 1-2 teaspoons of black tea leaves. Simmer for several minutes but do not allow to boil. Strain into a mug and enjoy!
